AR/VR/XR in Healthcare - MedXR News / MXR / Robotics and VR Rehabilitation

In 2022 the medVR bootcamp will begin to educate its first interdisciplinary cohort to lead the future of applied AR and VR in healthcare. Our goals extend beyond education to incubate, accelerate and grow interdisciplinary teams and prototypes into successful research projects and teams. The medVR bootcamp is a journey of medical professionals and students, and technical professionals and students together to learn one another’s fields and collaborate to learn applied medical XR. We are keenly interested in applicants (professionals and students) from the healthcare and technical communities and everyone with XR design and development experience. We will bring together clinicians, scientists, developers, designers, and other experts in an intensive educational experience to prepare them for careers in medical XR. Healthcare’s evidence-based discipline often translates into solid problem statements that provide precise requirements for designing prototypes and evolving products. Examples of project/product management cycles will be explained, including pitfalls and best practices. This will be the most challenging module to produce and deliver because governance and regulation evolve with the XR technology.
